I dig Tupperware for a lot of reasons, but I will just list a few of them here.... Tupperware is Girl Friendly: Tupperware was founded 59 years ago, right after WWII. Post the war, women were pushed out of of the work force to make room for returning soldiers. That was fine for married women, who were supported by their returning, working husbands. It was not fine for single women and mothers trying to earn a living who had been part of the work force pre WWII, and now were getting shoved out right beside married women who had only entered the work force because of the war.

Those single women needed their jobs before AND after the war. But those jobs were gone. Enter Tupperware. Tupperware was a job. For women. From a company founded by women. That supported women. When single women seriously needed that support. Hey, we still do.

Tupperware is Environment Friendly: Think about it. You can wrap that sandwich in plastic, foil, paper, or all of the above [yegads] and take it to school | a picnic | hiking | wherever you take sandwiches. But what do you do with the plastic wrap | foil | paper after you eat the sandwich? We know what you do with it. You throw it away. And what do you wrap the next sandwich in? More plastic wrap. More foil. More paper. And you throw that away too. Look. Put the sandwich in Tupperware. Tupperware is re-usable. For your entire lifetime. No more paper, plastic wrap, or foil is going into landfills. No more plastic wrap, paper, or foil is using up resources getting made. You are using one container you can use for your entire lifetime. A Tupperware container.

Tupperware Does Not Release Carcinogens: Microwave friendly Tupperware does not release carcinogens. Did you know plastic storage containers release carcinogens when they are microwaved? Probably not or you would not be microwaving your ravioli in that old dented peely plastic container with the odd white spots on it you got for cheap from Ralph's.

Listen. That cheap container releases carcinogens every time it is microwaved. And know what that white spot is? That is plastic decomposition. Decomposing plastic releases carcinogens even faster. And sure, you could just buy EXTREMELY CHEAP plastic containers and throw them away. But they are still releasing carcinogens during use the first time in the microwave and let's go back to that environment friendly subject, hmm? Those cheap plastic containers were not designed for microwave use. That is why your food labels say "use a microwave friendly dish" you goofball. Because cheap plastic containers not designed for the microwave ALL release carcinogens in a microwave. And wherever your food is touching that plastic? It is absorbing those carcinogens.Microwave safe Tupperware does not do that.Microwave safe Tupperware was designed not to. That is three reasons I dig Tupperware.
